Appeasement (Memoir)

Such a complex term, an effusion of courage, where wrong
is often overlooked. We appease our wives, and wives
appease their husbands, where debasement is not a factor.
We appease to feel appeased, as opposed to a one sided
coin. Thus, if one must grovel to receive nothing, than
appeasement is unjust. We dare retort: appeasement is a
tacit, applied to calm a storm. But often we appease to
appease again, bruised and altered. When a child cries, we
tend to her, willing away her cries. When a son is angry,
we pull out a conversation. To appease at the risk of
one’s soul, where appeasement is a constant, this is a form
of death. If one is prone to folly, we read Proverbs. If one
is resistant to facts, we walk away. However, if one is
constantly in error, forcing appeasements, we calculate the
measures. So it is not the case that we do not appease; but
rather, we appease those that refuse to abuse appeasement.
