Exhausting Depictions: Including Omissions

unlike wheezing, breathe carefully, it’s been

made difficult.

reciprocity. a mile for a kilometer. a rose for

a sky.

liquor poured into daisies—flowers are

intoxicated.

how do I explain—power, notion, reaching

inevitability?

much absence in life, could be much

undercurrent, dragging its sanity, abusing

in souls.

near a lagoon, a platypus is himself.

he never qualms over filth, mud, and

appearance.

at an office, a soul is under stress—best in

each symbol, sedated for mercy, required

to reaffirm worth …  divested of comfort.

the omission is discussion. that piece—

unspoken resilience—in what sense? to

speak it as existence, is it elastic or

hardened?

does it cause more damage than goodness?

if it hurts the person, it can’t be

applauded.

to enter life, coughing up resentments,

realizing by comparison … the pit, its

schism, unruly competition, failing

compensation.

in normal, it becomes abnormal. in unclear,

it might become clarity.

stemming from inner exhaustion, feeding

the birdsong, rereading each depiction.

oh the omissions!
