studious. bias.
uncertain. does right verses
wrong carry weight? I believe they
must—for they’ve been grounded—into existence. when I disagree with myself—I must
face right versus wrong. if I ignore
my insides—I have an issue, an anomaly, an abnormality. fancy words for a problem, a misfire,
or worse, a pathological growth.
what degrees are normal? is restraint
enough? are we left with acts only?
a girl was raised in pain. father
left home. mother was unsteady. the girl made waves, got in trouble, broke many
laws. she is considered aberrant—a deviant, a miscreant, an issue. she met a woman, a therapist, she
started to change, to live, to get an education. she is now a criminal defense
attorney. do we say she is
unstable, pathological, a latent miscreant, despite her positive, law-abiding
actions? a rational person sees
a quandary—all we have are actions—the latter outweigh the former. I might say—there is exposure there,
monitored by a new philosophy, which sickles roots of old behavior. exposure is examined. personality has
been altered. still, there is hesitation.
how
early on was a child trained, his core values, those resistant to negative
actions? is there a conscience at play? how many traits out of ten must a
person display—in order to obtain a given label? a psych knows the answer. more at home. all through high school
a student had several girlfriends. he preferred variety. and through college he
kept this behavior. will he be
faithful to his wife? if looking
at core values, track record actions, a person is at minimum inclined to say—it
will be with difficulty. on this
level, we do say—it is possible.
sunshine
is different to perception. new oceans, waterfalls, grandness is different for
each person. a son is a blessing, so as a daughter, we hope for greatness.
pictures are taken, candles burn, emphasis is placed on religiosity. a man was
raised in a church, molested, raped, seeks asylum from his sins. he never
sinned in that sense. he can’t get away from his sin. he is obsessed with
cleansings. he works a job. he works hard. he engages with others. he tells his
story. he is a part of his church. can he be trusted?
if
two have exact traits, are they the same? what separates their actions? should
they be received differently?
we
know something we fail to look at closely, genetics might determine behaviors.
two experience trauma, similar, exact circumstances, one goes on to aid others,
the other becomes a criminal.
do
genetics structure perception?
