pictureless ambivalence, as it flames, to
see what we perceive—seeking out correlation.
rustling through wildflowers, or collecting thorns, little twigs beneath
one’s feet; to hear them crackle, as non-effected, thoughts watching responses.
each symbol is existential—participating in
some way—minds create a list—of rules, conceptions, lanterns, rockets.
like crocheting pictures, or knitting
mittens, each has an approach.
a
splinter is irksome. a pictureless person is irked.
there
are things that just cannot be true:
an orange-apple, deteriorating skies,
speaking stars.
I might have this in others—a distaste for
the distasteful, a position
adamant that another is beyond error. this
is great, satisfactory,
maybe incomplete.
it
isn’t that things said are untrue—it’s more unexplained—or reaching, while
coming from one that is pictureless. agreement is difficult. one must see the
best in others. characteristics are on stage.
pictureless means provoked,
political, under-received. though one says, “I didn’t like hearing it,” one has
an idea of why it was said. it becomes, Freer with you, than myself, which is a
struggle. the challenge is pleasing a person—by approaching knitting similarly.
