Joy

I find a disbelief, which hampers a need. So this very disbelief
functions as a need. I disbelieve in its permanence, but I need
the illusion of its presence. It’s a lack of some ‘thing’, a ‘thing’
which promotes growth. I find this particular need in what we
would call fleetingness. This need is joy, the absence of pain,
found for but moments of fleetingness, and thus, joy is an
illusion, which manifests itself in actual reality, or the experience
thereof. We need for a definition, that explains itself in an
occurrence. Am I with intention to suggest that joy does not
exist? Nay. I am more in alignment with suggesting that joy is
an illusion, experienced within the realm of reality, for joy is
a perception, founded upon an internal response to unsaid
stimuli. This need is satisfied in spurts, where one is found
searching for an unsaid stimuli, to satisfy an undefined need. Is
it then necessary to rid ourselves of such a need? This is quite
impossible, for said need necessitates unsaid progress; moreover,
said need is as if an integral element in our DNA. So we are found
with a need, soaked in illusion, dependent upon perception. For
example, many would argue that it is quite nourishing to visit a
rose garden. This experience brings about a calming joy. Is this
the case for everyone? There may exist a person that finds this
experience non-serene, stirring within existential fears. For this
reason, and reasons such as this, we say that our need for joy is
predicated upon our perception of those things that bring about
the sensation of joy. If it is the case that joy is purely subjective,
it is too the case that joy is a distortion of reality, and thus, an
illusion. We, however, long for, and need such illusion, in order
to function in a world that has proven itself as hostile to humans.
So we find that that solely dependent upon perception, and thus,
a slanting of reality, is absolutely necessary for the flow of
existence. I see then a disbelief in an essential need, where said
need operates as a core value. What is such realty?
